I worked as an Internet Marketing Specialist for Intuit, a large Silicon Valley corporation and the makers of Turbo Tax and Quick Books. The massive layoffs arrived in 2008 and it became an opportunity for something new. Starting over is never easy but I now enjoy a simpler life in my own company without the stress of the corporate grind. Now I'm glad the changes occurred because I wouldn't have stepped away from that security on my own.
